Nice list. I saw Moonspell in Washington, DC I think opening for a joint Cradle of Filth/Type O Negative tour maybe? That Gothic metal isn't really my thing but they were solid. I had no idea they started as a black metal band. I'll have to look that up. Thanks!
Great article! Never realised Portugal had such a vibrant metal scene, even after 5 years of living here. Not really my style of music, but a breath of fresh air compared to the whiney pitiful music they play on Antena3. Here we were believing that Portuguese music was either screaming out of tune ladies with accordeons or falsetto singing millennials whining about their horrible victimhood.
Really appreciate this and I will listen to all your suggestions.

Very glad you liked the article.
They were originaly called Morbid God, and yes they played black metal.
Only when they released Irreligious did they become a Dark / Gothic metal hybrid
This is their first EP
Great Article! How about Angra? Is Rafael Bittencourt related to Exteme's lead?
Thank you very much!
Glad you liked it!
No relation! Angra are a Brazilian Power Metal band.
An excellent one by the way!
Cheers

It used to be even more vibrant in the old days my friend!
Portuguese radio is riddled with innocuous atempts at comerciality and boring computer made playlists.
Even the people who talk on the radio are more concerned about talking of their personal issues, than entertaining the audience.
Extremely glad you liked the list.
Cheers
